It is an advanced clinical skill that requires additional training to identify appropriate patients and understand the potential outcomes for casting. This webinar will give an overview of the following topics: casting goals, casting process including review of precautions and ideas for orthotics post-casting that are important to consider when deciding to serial cast. Learners will be introduced to a decision-making tool to assist in selecting appropriate situations for this intervention and outline the necessary steps to ensure safety, carryover and long-term effects. Both adult and pediatric cases will be highlighted throughout the webinar.
