Working with Patients to Resolve Moral Distress
Description: This on-demand webinar will introduce and explain moral distress, which occurs when a health care provider believes she knows the ethical thing to do, but is unable to perform that action. It will then show how the “interactive model” of shared decision making, as the ideal model of the practitioner-patient relationship, can help alleviate some instances of moral distress.
Instructor: Andrew Kondrat, MA, Bioethicist, Donnelley Ethics Program, Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago; Doctoral Candidate, Loyola University, Chicago,
