Mokhtar is a Yemeni American who becomes fasicated by the history of coffee. Mokhtar works to introduce high-quality Yemeni coffee to people around the world. Readers follow Mokhtar from coffee shops in San Francisco to the country of Yemen. Mokhtar faces danger and fights to survive as Yemen breaks out into Civil War.
