Description: This live webinar will discuss basic concepts of the lymph system’s physiology as it relates to upper extremity edema in the stroke population. Participants will learn to evaluate when and why to apply a variety of intervention approaches to upper extremity edema management in the stroke population. Through case studies, participants will learn to use evidenced based practice to justify the application of multiple edema management interventions.
Objectives: Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify basic concepts of the lymph system’s physiology.
- Outline when and why to apply alternate intervention approaches to edema management.
- Apply multiple interventions for edema management simultaneously.
- Explain application of edema management interventions with appropriate evidence.
